Uncertain…

We are finally back on the mainland. All we have to do now is drive across the country.
And when we get home we will be awarded with a few days rest before we start hopping again?
Probably not.  Probably I will begin the most intense year of my high school years and will immediately
begin searching, packing, moving.
Life is a very bumpy road. But I’m not asking for a break, I am just asking for God’s grace, which is sufficient and can carry me through.

I do not know what lies ahead,
I cannot imagine it.
Which is saying something, since to be quite honest:
I have a pretty good imagination.

One happy older brother married.
One precious older brother moving far away.
One beautiful older sister in college.
Three silly younger siblings growing up before my eyes.
And then there is me – the middle child – wondering
why I am here, what is going on, and what am I supposed to do?

Why stoop in gloom when the road ahead
is undoubtedly paved with many songs, moments
and experiences that will make for a very interesting ride?

I am excited for what comes next,
even though I do not know what it is.

Life is quite a wonderful adventure,
and I think I am ready for it.

I'm Susanna, a 20-year-old Christian girl incorrigibly addicted spontaneous adventures. My first dream was to become a pioneer. Unfortunately, I was born a couple centuries late, so I've decided to read, cook, run, and travel the world until my time machine is finished. You'll mostly likely find me getting into trouble and/or eating licorice. I am currently blogging the misadventures of a middle-school teacher in training. Come join me on my quest to become the next Ms. Frizzle!
