Tomorrow morning at six AM, a generous contingent of my family will be heading up to Beltsville, ML for the National History Day competition. Marzipan and I have worked for hundreds of hours on our documentary about resistance vs. passive acceptance in Nazi Germany. I can’t wait to show it to you guys once the competition is over.
National history day has been such an amazing experience. I am planning on writing a nice blog post to bid it farwell ( with pictures and everything). We have had so many amazing opportunities, from diving into in depth research about a topic that you can’t help but be changed by, to having the opportunity to meet and interview professors, holocaust survivors, and a former member of the Hitler Youth. I Can’t wait to tell you all a little bit more about it and share our adventures from the national competition.
(if your interested, I’ll be tweeting about it @suzols)
The day after we get home from Beltsville, we will be leaving again for our epic three week journey to California. I will be attending a one week bible study conference with thousands of people from all over the globe. I am beyond excited. We will also be visiting relatives and old friends. Most importantly, I can’t wait to watch my big bro graduate from a two year post graduate christian training. Honestly the part I am most excited about is the car trip home with both of my beloved big brothers in tow.
I’ll be updating from the road. Hopefully we can create some of our traditional “Olson Cross Country Talk Shows” to share with ya’ll.
