Bringing it back…

I miss blogging. In the days before twenty second instagram checks and twitter posts, my friends and I stayed connected by reading eachothers blogs. When you think about it, it makes a lot more sense than social media. Our posts were much more substantial, and (usually) more interesting. There was more thought and time spent in crafting our regular updates. Unfortunately this world seems to be moving from instant to instant-er. Blogging amongst my buddies may have fallen out of style, but I would like to bring it back into my own life.

My problem is lack of faithfulness. That shall be solved by a new schedule which includes blogging twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I will keep this little corner of the web updated with my gap year activities and projects. If no one reads it, I’ll keep it as a memory of the joy of adventure year; since my journal is already overcrowded with emotional tantrums, silly secrets, and what I like to think are the deeper things.
Since it has been a little while, I’d like to give a little update. I am currently:
Interning at my Daddy’s iPhone app design company
-Interning for a startup called Couraj
-Anticipating the results of the WWII National Memorial Museum Student Ambassadorship
-Looking for a job
-Preparing to teach homeschool classes in English, Writing Workshop, and Cultural Geography
-Working on personal projects such as editing my novel, working through a literature list, learning italian, and practicing cooking.
-Taking a few self-taught and online classes

In posts to come I will keep you updated on my journey in all its many aspects.

I'm Susanna, a 20-year-old Christian girl incorrigibly addicted spontaneous adventures. My first dream was to become a pioneer. Unfortunately, I was born a couple centuries late, so I've decided to read, cook, run, and travel the world until my time machine is finished. You'll mostly likely find me getting into trouble and/or eating licorice. I am currently blogging the misadventures of a middle-school teacher in training. Come join me on my quest to become the next Ms. Frizzle!
