Writing for Hire: Where Dangerous Curiosity finds a Purpose

Adventure Year Updates: Internships

One of the things I wanted to work on during my adventure year was finding ways to develop my writing skills in new ways. The Lord has already been faithful in providing me with some excellent opportunities:

With my internshop at Tapity, I am learning to write about things I have absolutely no interest in.

So far I’ve written blog posts about business pitching, employee productivity, and other grown up stuff. I won’t lie, when I first found out that I’d be maintaining a blog geared for business men and women, I was terrifed. My whole life I’ve written nothing but school projects and fiction; how am I supposed to suddenly become an expert in all things business and time tracking?

One tip I’ve learned: embrace ever ounce of curiosity you can find. When I am researching an article, I convince myself that I am truly interested in the topic. If I’m going to make money writing, I’ve got to learn to write about anything. I thank the Lord for a perfect opportunity to practice.

I am so excited to announce that my writing will begin to be unleashed over the next few weeks. Also, my other awesome internship with couraj has been going really well. I write short biographies of men and women from history who showed courage. Dream job? I’d say so.

I'm Susanna, a 20-year-old Christian girl incorrigibly addicted spontaneous adventures. My first dream was to become a pioneer. Unfortunately, I was born a couple centuries late, so I've decided to read, cook, run, and travel the world until my time machine is finished. You'll mostly likely find me getting into trouble and/or eating licorice. I am currently blogging the misadventures of a middle-school teacher in training. Come join me on my quest to become the next Ms. Frizzle!
