What I’ve been working on:

Launch days are always the best at the office. Today the iphone app design company I work for is releasing an iOS 8 update to one of their famous apps. (p.s. you should check it out. It just might change your life) I didn’t help with the design or programming, but I still love to enjoy the enthusiasm as hard work finally pays in great press reviews and high app store rankings.

It has been a great day. Except, I brought split pea soup for lunch.
The guys were appalled.

“There are two scary words there. First, I don’t trust anything ‘split’. Second… it says… vegan.”

I’ve felt so privileged to work with the Tapity. Since the company is run by my Dad, I can be realistic with them about what I can and cannot do while also pushing myself to the limit and developing new skills. I’ve really appreciated their belief in me. It seems that almost every month I learn new skills by being thrust into strange projects and job titles.

“Split pea soup is made with cooked peas that kind of turn into a mushy soupy goodness and then you add bacon. Mmmm.”
“Can you make split pea soup without the peas and just the bacon?”

So far I’ve worked in:

Content creation
Research for a client
International Marketing

AND the horizon holds work in:

Search engine optimization
App store optimization
Customer relationship management

Whew. I mayn’t be in college, but I sure am getting an education.

I'm Susanna, a 20-year-old Christian girl incorrigibly addicted spontaneous adventures. My first dream was to become a pioneer. Unfortunately, I was born a couple centuries late, so I've decided to read, cook, run, and travel the world until my time machine is finished. You'll mostly likely find me getting into trouble and/or eating licorice. I am currently blogging the misadventures of a middle-school teacher in training. Come join me on my quest to become the next Ms. Frizzle!
