I’ve got a thing for infographics. When my dad shared this one with me, I was spellbound. Can you figure out what it represents?
Didn’t think so. As described by its co creator, Chris Harrison:
“The bar graph that runs along the bottom represents all of the chapters in the Bible. Books alternate in color between white and light gray. The length of each bar denotes the number of verses in the chapter. Each of the 63,779 cross references found in the Bible is depicted by a single arc – the color corresponds to the distance between the two chapters, creating a rainbow-like effect.”
Wow. The Bible refers to itself over 63,000 times. It is amazingly connected and flows beautifully from Genesis to Revelation. Don’t go telling me this book was written by random uninspired men. Whew. Astounding.
