Guess who just finished?

BARELY MADE IT. MY WRITING IS TERRIBLE.  IT IS DONE!

50k words in 30 days, I’d say that isn’t too shabby. Now it is time to hide this manuscript in the depths of my closet safe from any curious onlookers. I’ll get back to editing one day, once my principle novel is off the ground.

Favorites from my first experience with NaNoWriMo.

Making friends. Working as a punster for the first time ever. Writing terribly and still being proud. Licorice breaks. Unexpected plot twists making boring afternoons a bit easier to take. A manuscript that may as well be a skeleton, the hide-in-the-closet kind.

How is NaNoWriMo turning out for the rest of those who bravely endeavored?

More updates to come:

-Thanksgiving… make that Thanksgivings.
-A HAPPY ANNOUNCEMENT
-Books you need to read
-Winter adventures
-An actual factual really truly trip to somewhere special is brewing…

Author: Susanna

I'm Susanna, a 20-year-old Christian girl incorrigibly addicted spontaneous adventures. My first dream was to become a pioneer. Unfortunately, I was born a couple centuries late, so I've decided to read, cook, run, and travel the world until my time machine is finished. You'll mostly likely find me getting into trouble and/or eating licorice. I am currently blogging the misadventures of a middle-school teacher in training. Come join me on my quest to become the next Ms. Frizzle!

  1. SO proud of you! I'm 1,000 words away, so I feel confident in saying WE DID IT.

Don't hide it away for too long. From my past experiences, putting it away with the promise to return later to edit turns into never looking at it until five months later, at which time you've forgotten everything and the flame that drove you there has gone out. Your novel deserves to not be hidden or forgotten. =)

Congratulations and I look forward to your future posts!
