As you may know, my computer has been acting a little moohoomoo lately. Also, I hurt my foot on Sunday. Thus were the circumstances leading to an unplanned and unwanted mini vacation.
and suddenly I realized that I needed to start doing something semi-important with my life.
Thanks to my handy daddy, my computer is open for business again. My dad figured out that (despite what the apple geniuses proclaimed), my computer’s only problem was the keyboard. So instead of a 750+ repair, I got a nice lil blue tooth keyboard for 17 bucks, applied a tad bit of southern engineering, and am ready to roll again (just as soon as I catch up on that long todo list…).
In other words, my mini vacation is over,
Looks like a normal lil computer.
Whoops! I fooled ya. There is an extra keyboard!
Okay, so it isn’t perfect. It takes a few minutes to turn the bluetooth on everytime I want to get going after a break. Once in a while the new keyboard slides onto the old keyboard and my whole computer goes haywire until I adjust it.
But it means that I’m still on track for my dreams. I don’t mind a tad bit of frustration here or there.
Side Note: for those of you unfamiliar witht he term “Southern engineering”, I thought I might explain it with a few of my favorite examples from the internet:
It basically means making do with what you have and finding creative, albeit not always aesthetically pleasing, solutions to problems. Generally it involved duck tape, overwhelming amounts of duck tape.
That is that for today.
