I’m officially a fan girl!

So basically this lovely girl named Sky runs a blog that allows people to to share and rave and rant and obsess over their fandoms. When I heard about it, I thought it was a great idea, but being a classic literature and history geek I wasn’t sure I fit in. However, after talking to Sky I realized that literature is in fact a legitimate fandom.

I feel so privileged to be guest posting on The Fan Girl Initiative. Go ahead and check out:

THERE IS EVEN A GIF OF PUSHKIN’S SIDEBURNS! It is now officially a true fandom!

I'm Susanna, a 20-year-old Christian girl incorrigibly addicted spontaneous adventures. My first dream was to become a pioneer. Unfortunately, I was born a couple centuries late, so I've decided to read, cook, run, and travel the world until my time machine is finished. You'll mostly likely find me getting into trouble and/or eating licorice. I am currently blogging the misadventures of a middle-school teacher in training. Come join me on my quest to become the next Ms. Frizzle!

  1. I always thought I wasn't much of a fangirl because even though there are some modern books I like, I'm not very open about my fan-ness, if that makes sense. Well, at least in real life. I love books, and I'll recommend them, but I don't gush too often. Now that you say that classic literature can be a fandom, well I think I just might be a fangirl. Except only my parents and people online will understand me when I rave about classic literature.

  2. Makes total sense! I never considered myself a fan girl either, but it is super fun to talk to an open audience about the things you are passionate about. And I do try to convince all my favorite people to read War and Peace. I suppose you could say it is a hobby of mine.
