Away in the Mountains: Life Update/Photo Dump

The summer is drawing to a humid conclusion. It is so confusing. Part of me cannot believe that two months have already flown by, it seems like I got off the plane yesterday! And yet part of me is certain sure that I never left North Carolina in the first place. Maybe I’m overly influenced by the morning mountain mist (or just the residue of haze left on my brain from a bad cold), but last year is starting to seem like a happy but vague dream. I think I’m ready to go back and make sure it is all real : )

For my last month here in North Carolina, I am trying to get work down, prepare this blog for an epic coming year, and spend adequate time with my younger siblings. Here are some snapshots from my lovely North Carolina summer (courtesy of my iPhone 5):

Watermelon is literally my favorite thing. Watermelon in the mountains = perfect summer vacation.

I cannot overexaggerate about the joy that is cooking in my American kitchen.

My sweet niece wearing her new Wales shirt. I hope it means she will come visit me someday!

My Dad’s business (where I work) moved to a new office!

How has summer break been going for you all?

I'm Susanna, a 20-year-old Christian girl incorrigibly addicted spontaneous adventures. My first dream was to become a pioneer. Unfortunately, I was born a couple centuries late, so I've decided to read, cook, run, and travel the world until my time machine is finished. You'll mostly likely find me getting into trouble and/or eating licorice. I am currently blogging the misadventures of a middle-school teacher in training. Come join me on my quest to become the next Ms. Frizzle!
